By using our Services, you acknowledge acceptance of these privacy practices. Our Services are subject to the Terms of Use, which incorporate this policy. Undefined terms reference the Terms of Use definitions.
This policy addresses how Sidebar treats Personal Data gathered when you access or use our Services. "Personal Data" encompasses information identifying individuals or constituting personally identifiable information under applicable data privacy laws. Third-party practices outside Sidebar's control are excluded.

Special Feature Note: Sidebar allows members to see other known members by accessing personal contacts and third-party platform information to determine network membership.

Personal Data may be shared for activities under "Meeting Legal Requirements and Enforcing Legal Terms."
All collected Personal Data transfers if Sidebar undergoes merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or control transfer. Reasonable notification efforts will precede information subject to different privacy policies.
Aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data derived from Personal Data may be shared with third parties for lawful business purposes without identifying individuals.
The Services use cookies and similar technologies (pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, JavaScript) to recognize browsers, track visit timing and usage, analyze trends, understand user base composition, and improve Services. Small data files are placed on computers, tablets, or phones upon Services access.
Third-party information may supplement Sidebar-collected data. Services do not support "Do Not Track" requests.
Essential Cookies: Required for requested features or services. Disabling affects availability.
Functional Cookies: Record choices, maintain preferences, recognize returning users, and personalize content.
Performance/Analytical Cookies: Understand visitor usage by collecting visitor counts, page views, and duration. Measure advertising campaign performance. Google Analytics applies Google's terms and privacy policy; users may opt-out via Google's advertising opt-out page or Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Browser settings control Cookie acceptance. Most browsers allow disabling Cookies or preventing new Cookie acceptance. Users may delete existing Cookies but may need to reset preferences and may lose functionality.
Sidebar serves advertisements through third-party ad networks, servers, agencies, vendors, and research firms targeting users fitting profile categories or displaying preferences/behaviors. Personal Data derives from users or usage patterns on Sidebar Services or third parties.
Cookies and web beacons enable targeted ads across unaffiliated properties. Web beacons provide anonymized auditing, research, and reporting while enabling ad delivery across websites.
Sidebar complies with Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising. DAA and Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) industry programs provide consumer understanding and control over customized ads across websites.
Sidebar seeks to protect Personal Data from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure using appropriate physical, technical, organizational, and administrative security measures based on data type and processing. Users should protect passwords/sign-on mechanisms, limit device/browser access, and sign off after use completion.
Although we work to protect the security of your account and other data that we hold in our records, please be aware that no method of transmitting data over the internet or storing data is completely secure.
Sidebar retains Personal Data while accounts remain open or as necessary for Services provision. Longer retention occurs when legally required, for dispute resolution, fee collection, or as permitted/required by law. Anonymous or aggregated information not personally identifying individuals may be retained indefinitely.
Sidebar does not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data about children under 16 years old. Children under 16 should not register, use Services, or submit Personal Data. Discovered child data under 16 is deleted immediately. Suspected submissions from children under 16 should be reported to hello+pp@teamsidebar.com.
Sidebar provides privacy-first platform features enabling data access or deletion requests.
Users may request access to stored Personal Data. Sidebar will use commercially reasonable efforts providing copies in common file formats.
Users may request deletion of stored Personal Data. Sidebar will use commercially reasonable efforts deleting data at request time, subject to exceptions (e.g., Services provision, transaction completion, action completion). Deletion requests subject to exceptions may be denied.
Valid Requests must: (1) provide sufficient information verifying requestor identity and (2) describe requests in sufficient detail for understanding, evaluation, and response.
Submission Methods:
Sidebar does not sell Personal Data and has not during the last 12 months. To Sidebar's knowledge, minor under-16 Personal Data is not sold.
California Civil Code Sections 1798.83-1798.84 entitle residents to prevent Personal Data third-party disclosure for direct marketing purposes. Submit requests to hello+pp@teamsidebar.com.
Nevada residents may opt-out of Personal Data sales to third parties licensing or selling data. Exercise this right by contacting hello+pp@teamsidebar.com with subject line "Nevada Do Not Sell Request" and name and associated account email.
Sidebar may change this Privacy Policy, alerting users through website notices, email, or other means. Changes to the policy do not alter existing legal notice obligations. Services use after policy changes constitutes acceptance. Collection-time policy versions govern information use.
